A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to nonexistent email addresses under the exact same domain. For example, an email sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can receive email messages from mates or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you’ve got a cloud hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all functionality for any email mailbox that you create under the domain. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section comes with quite a lot of functions, but it’s exceptionally user-friendly, so configuring a catch-all mailbox requires only a mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be enumerated in this section in alphabetical order and you will only need to click the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the specific email address. Our system will warn you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or select another mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as easy and requires yet another click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all option can be activated without any difficulty if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve set up with the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll find a small logo conveniently situated directly next to each of them. With just a mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with the option already enabled and there isn't activated email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate the feature using the context menu that will come into sight. If any of the requirements for creating a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will warn you, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
